I told you, in another article, I like to keep a big bag of kitty litter in the back of my car. It adds weight and is good for added traction if you get stuck. To keep an unused refrigerator from smelling stale, pour unused cat litter in a shallow box and place in the center of the refrigerator. Unplug the refrigerator and leave the litter in for five days or for the season if you are closing the house. Cat litter will help to clean up oil or paint spills. A 10-pound bag of litter will absorb more than a gallon of liquid. The litter will absorb messes that are hard to clean up, like an egg that hits the floor. Put a couple of capfuls of litter in the bottom of your trash can to absorb any smelly leaks. Use fresh, plain-clay kitty litter to mark the locations of bulbs in the garden. Add a tablespoon of the litter under each bulb to improve drainage. Then mix a handful into the soil used to backfill the planting hole. Finally, sprinkle a small scoop of kitty litter on the soil's surface to mark the bulb's location. Moisture can cause mold to grow in a tent while it's packed away. A kitty litter sachet placed in the tent will absorb this moisture. Put a handful of cat litter in a sock, tie a knot and place it in the tent bag. Go To Page: 1 2
