Summer is quickly approaching! A long with summer, often comes house guests and visitors. These could be visitors who stay a few days at your home such as family and friends. How do you prepare and deal with house guests? I invite you to read on to find out.

The mood and comfort of your guest is created by you. How well do you treat a guest and what kind of tone do you set? Remain flexible, friendly, and caring towards them. The more you feel at ease, the more they will too. Use your sense of humor and patience. Humor can relax just about anyone.

Give your guest a cozy place to stay and sleep. Many families have guest rooms for people to sleep and store their belongings. In this room, it would be polite of you to leave tissues, a phone book, new towels & wash cloths, new tooth brush, snacks, magazines, and an extra blanket. This goodie basket will help make guests feel more at home.

If you don't have a spare room, use an air mattress. These mattresses are affordable and comfortable. You can place them just about anywhere for comfort.

Don't feel shy in telling your guests your house rules. If you rather not have them smoke in your house, tell them. If they don't know then they can't follow them.

Allow guests to help you around the house and doing cooking. They will feel better to know that they are contributing to your home.

Enjoy and have fun!
