Ideas for The Changing Table

Many families who had an infant own at least one changing table. Changing tables are a wonderful help when you have a baby in the house. After the baby is finished with diapers, you’re left with a changing table and might be tempted to throw it away or sell it. Before you do, here are some creative ways to use your old changing table and make it work in your house.

Make your changing table into a plant station. Place the table by a window that gets sunlight. Set plants and flowers on the changing table shelves. Luckily, there is plenty of space for multiple plants. On the remaining shelves, feel free to place plant supplies and tools. These consist of watering can, soil, extra pots, shovels, and other essentials. You'll have the perfect plant area.

Turn the changing table into a home office piece of furniture. Move the table into your office, and you will see the possibilities come alive. You can use it as a place to keep books and papers. Telephones, fax machines, calendars, mail, and anything else one might imagine can be stored on the table. It's an excellent place to put knickknacks and pictures on as well.

Create a new kitchen organizer with the table. Place the table in your kitchen and store blenders, mixers, and other bulky utensils. This could be a great place to store cookbooks and cooking magazines. Place cleaning supplies, paper towels, napkins, soda bottles, and more on it.

Organize your garage. This is an excellent place to keep tools, paint, car equipment, paint brushes, work gloves, and whatever else that might be lurking in your garage. Make it into a toy and book holder. Leave the table in your child's room. Instead of storing diapers, store toys, books, blankets, a night light, stuffed animals, and more of your child's belongings.

Produce your very own craft center. Transform the changing table into a craft area. Hold all your paper, paint, brushes, markers, stamps, yarn, glue, tape, and anything else you use for crafts. This way you will always have one place for your craft material.

So, before throwing away or selling the old changing table, I hope you consider reusing it in your home.
