Vybemuzik House Reviews

Next on stage we have newcomer Calico, not a newcomer to dance music, but a newcomer in terms of having his productions released domestically here in the US. Grab your dancing shoes gents and gals, and step into the funktified world of Calico. His upcoming 'Basic Funk EP', is a must have if you like your underground soundz with funk. Don't take my word for it; grab this one when it's released on Deep Touch. Also keep your ears open for his upcoming 12', 'Do U Wanna Bump' release. Let me advise you that 'Do U Wanna Bump' will be a mainstay in your musical conversation once this little gem is released.

So politics and music makes strange bedfellows you say. Oh yeah of little faith!! Doug Gray's "Cuba Libre" will make you reconsider your foolish thought. For those of you have followed the struggles of the Cuban people over the years, "Cuba Libre" represents the unified voice of the Cubandiaspora, wherever they may be in the world. If you like your music served with a message, then Cuba Libre will speak to your heart. Also headed your way from Mr. Gray will be "Always There" a soulful God inspired garage rose among thorns. Much thanks to Kelvin K (testpress.com) for the excellent review. Producer Jask, like jade from the orient, is a treasured element when it comes to the true underground sounds. For those of you still searching for a higher meaning in dance music, point your ears over to Jask's "Spiritual Sunrise Remix" on one of King Street's current releases "Cascade Of Color Remixes". Enough cannot be written or said about this remix. A late comer to house music by way of R&B and Hip-Hop, Jask is now slowly fine tuning his own style. With Asiatic patience and humility, Jask will be a permanent fixture in the true underground nation for years to come. Oh by the way, his djing skills was the main topic of conversation at King Street's Winter Music Conference jam. If time permits, check out his current release 'Freedom' on !Records . . .hearing is believing.

They are here!! The staff that brought you the net's #1 rated dance musice-zine, vybeMuZiK.com have relocated to the Big Apple (NYC).
