A Review of The Warehouse in The Bronx

It's been a very long time since the Bronx has embarked on a true dance club. Open for two years and change, The Warehouse has started a major dance trend in the Bronx conducted by lengendaries Mike Stone of Studio 54, Bonds, Vinyl, Melons and Charles Jackson who promoted The Sound Factory Bar and Track's. If you want to go to a club to dance, meet some interesting people and just have a damn good time, The Warehouse is located directly off The Grand Concourse on Walton Avenue and 140th St.

On the first floor D.J.s MK, Trini, Missy, Mary Mac and D.J. Unknown play a variety of R&B and Hip Hop music as well as rotate their talents from month-to-month. One of the most interesting views in this room (not to forget the beautiful bodies) is the massive rock the club is built around. I think this is what gives the room its hard musical sound. These D.J.s will make you do things you would never have dreamt of. The Warehouse is geared toward men on Saturday nights. The atmosphere is so great though, that everyone attends.

The main floor upstairs has a variety of D.J. talents from House D.J. Andre Collins who'll make you dance, sweat and scream, to talents like international D.J. Ken Carpenter. Included on their roster are D.J.s Ken Terry, Frankie Paradise, Danny Krivit, David Depino and guest D.J. Rene Hewitt. The dance floor is very big, and has the sound system to match. On mini stages you'll find go-go dancers with bodies of life.

Once a month, live entertainment brings the club to life. One of the first records I heard at The Warehouse was "Show Me" by Urban Soul. The record itself can put you in a trance, but when Andre played it I was mesmerized.

Off the dance floor is the lounge. Believe it or not, the lounge is just as big as the dance floor. Bleachers, tables, chairs, a massive bar, and a variety of people are what enhance this room. Off the lounge, you'll find a patio with a full kitchen. If you want to entertain your friend on a nice summer night, the patio is the place to be. You can order a variety of great sandwiches, chicken, and great pies - or you can just sit and have a conversation. In the winter, the kitchen is set up in the lounge.
