the dried seeds in the chilies. Is there some reason why they wouldn't
sprout? Are seeds from fresh chilies treated differently to become dried
seeds to plant?
Thanks for your assistance. They could have been heat dried..like in an oven which would kill the seeds. One hot day can do it if they aren't properly hardened off. Good Luck, Pepper Joe I also live in florida and i ordered some seeds from you and 2 other places ...i now have about 50 different types and i have had a ton of peppers already this year .I also was surprised that so many came up since i had never tried to grow chilis before .They are great ......but i will be supplying the entire state with peppers if they keep producing as they are now .I have planted them closer than I should have whats a girl suppose to do when you end up with about 700 plants and don't have a huge yard .I had some mixed seeds so i have some plants that i have no clu what they are.But that has become fun in itself.I had to dig up my entire back as it was going to need new sod ..so instead of sod i have a pepper farm going.I really wish you could see it kinda scary out there ....but thanks for all the info DJ DJ, NICE problem to have. Sounds like you're gonna have a banner year. Maybe you can send some pics. Take Care, Pepper Joe Editors note: The Pics were Awesome! My pepper plants are only a few inches tall even though they've been planted since January. They are now yellow and stunted looking. No sign of an insect. One has black dots on it that look like it was spattered
