Paul, Thanks for the update on the Tezpur. I'm still very skeptical because I can't find anyone that has the seeds..and there is certainly a large and growing market for them. Strange? Take Care, Pepper Joe

Featured Pepper Pick = = = = = = = = = = = 'Red Caribbean' I have to go with the Caribbean for this newsletter because I'm so excited to offer it. First of all it is the #1 requested Pepper for 2000. It showed up prominently in the survey that we took and I constantly receive mail asking about it. Now, we won't offer a pepper just because it's requested. We occasionally get a request for the Bulgarian Carrot and I'll never sell it. It has a tough skin and the flesh is mush under the tough skin. The Caribbean Red is touted by many to be the hottest pepper in the world. I definitely think it's in the top 3. I'll still put our Golden Haqbanero up against it and Timne Magazine (Oct. 12, 1992) agrees. But then there is controversy over the Hottest. The Red Savina made the Guiness World Book..but I didn't like it's performance in our field tests and the heat was inconsistent. I did like the several vigorous test that we did on the Red Caribbean. It grows consistently Hot, disease free and pretty good production. I'd highly recommend the Caribbean. We'll have it available in a few weeks online and in our 2001 catalog that you'll be receiving soon.

Well Fellow Suite101'ers..it's time to wrap up. Keep the Chile Faith & Great Gardening, Pepper Joe http://www.pepperjoe.com
