Hello, or like we say in Philly, How 'youze' guys doing? Or in Myrtle
Beach, How Y'all doing? I hope everyone is great and getting ready for
one fabulous Gardening/Chile season.
I've increased the 'Ask Pepper Joe' questions and comments this
publication because so many of the issues relate to this time of the
year. That's a really neat thing about this part of the
newsletter...the timing is superb. For example there is input on
transplanting, leggy growth indoors, proper space allotment for height
and width of Chiles, bringing over-wintered chiles outdoors and much
more.
It's like questions on aphids in June, watering during a summer drought
in August or harvesting in September...PERFECT timing to reinforce some
basic gardening principles or give direction to our newbies.
So anyway I hope some of this information has value.
Got any 'Popeye' Chicken joints near you? I think they are primarily in
the South and Mid-atlantic. Anyway they have great spicy chicken and I
like to get 3 Jalapeno peppers on the side. The Red Beans & Rice is
dynamite.
Last week we fried some Lamb Chops in Olive Oil, chopped Habs and
Garlic..salt, pepper & ground Parsley and Rosemary. It was great. I
never run out of ways to use those Hot Peppers. Although some
Chileheads put Chiles on cereal or ice cream..that's where I draw the
line. Although have you tried 'Cave Creek' Beer with Chiles in it?
That's good stuff.
Ask Pepper Joe ============== Mark takes the heat to the next level.... Pepper Joe You are correct that the hottest sauce is in the DA BOMB family. Did you try DA BOMB or her hotter sister DA BOMB GROUND ZERO? I tried this in Savanna GA in a shop there, the taste and heat from a drop on a toothpick lasted about 30 minutes. GOOD STUFF. Mark in Monroe City IN. I have been looking for a web site that has everything I want and I finally found it. I am just begining to start my garden and am looking forward to planting my most favorite vegtable the peppers. I am placing your site in my favorites folder and will click on it often to see if you all have any new stuff. Thank You Josh Johnston Editors note: NOW we have braggin rights... > Hi Joe > > I have been growing peppers for years for my wife and her friends, I > just like growing them as they give so much. > > My question is this year (so far) we have had an exceedingly mild > winter and my pepper plants are still healthy. If they don't get froze > out should I keep them or start anew?
