SPICE UP YOUR THANKSGIVING DINNER!


In a large mixing bowl, place both packages of stuffing mix. Pour contents of skillet over dry crumbs and mix well. Mix in walnuts. If mixture is too dry, add more chicken broth or even water. This should make a moist but not soggy stuffing. Check salt and pepper and correct if necessary.

Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 25 minutes. Uncover and bake 10-15 minutes until lightly browned on top.

BREAKFAST STRATA TEXAS-STYLE

  • 6 slices Texas Toast Bread, trimmed of crust
  • soft butter
  • 1 cup Jack Cheese, grated
  • 4 links Chorizo link sausage, cooked & crumbled
  • 1 can chopped green chiles
  • 6 large eggs
  • 3 cups milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Salsa

Butter one side of the bread slices. Lay buttered side down in a 9" x 13" baking dish. Sprinkle with the grated cheese, cooked chorizo and diced green chiles.

Beat together the eggs and milk, and salt and pepper to taste. Pour over bread mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 325 F for 45 to 50 minutes until set.

Cut into squares and serve hot with your favorite salsa.
