Superbowl parties are lots of fun. Invite the gang over and wow them with some of these super spicy dishes. Your party is sure to be a success!
Serves 4 to 5 Serve in a shallow bowl to allow plenty of room for soaking up the spice-infused cream sauce.
Gradually stir in the cream to make a smooth sauce. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly and turns a rich rust color. Add the shrimp and red pepper flakes. Reduce the heat and cook shrimp over low heat for 2 to 3 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque. Taste and adjust the seasoning. HOT CRAB DIP
In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients except almonds. Transfer to shallow baking dish. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes until heated through. Top with toasted almonds and serve with crackers or sour dough bread slices. Makes about 2 cups. CHICKEN AND JALAPENO QUESADILLAS Guacamole-there are many kinds in the freezer section these days-and a new sweet fruit salsa are good accompaniments to these quesadillas.
