ADVISE TO THE LOVELORN AND QUESTIONING EQUINES
I am a pretty roan Arabian/Quarter Horse with a BIG problem! You see, I live in a pasture with four other horses, none of them are as intelligent or pretty as I am, but one of them, a big black Arabian, thinks she is ALL THAT. She is the bossiest, most annoying, most obnoxious horse I have ever met! Why can't I be the one in charge? I am smart, loyal, intelligent and , well..I should be the boss! What can I do to make her see sense? The Prettiest Pony Dear PP: Well...much as I would like to help you, I really don't think there is much you can do to change her. YOU know you are smart and capable, but she seems to think she has to be the boss. So, unless you can convince her to delegate, and if you try that, make sure you stay a horse leg away, the only thing you can do is stay away from her, and make your own little clique. But watch out, most Type A personalities react violently to having their authority challenged! IF she becomes aggressive, the best you can do is try to get her to show your human's her aggressive actions in the hopes they will segregate her, and then you can take over. Dear Reena: I am a very mature 2 year old filly..uhm..mare. And my humans stuck me in the pasture with the BABIES! These are only yearlings! How can my people do this to me? Don't they realize I am a grown up horsey? I mean, this is embarrassing! When other horses come to visit, they see me in here with the babies and they think I am one! How on earth am I ever going to live this stigma down? I mean, please, I am NOT a baby! NOT the baby Dear NOT Take advantage of this! You can take over the WHOLE thing! The babies certainly won't challenge you! All you have to do is make sure that they know you have an extra year if experience! As to the other horses, you can always tell them that SOMEONE has to take care of these babies! With out an adult, there is no telling what they would be into! It's a dirty, thankless job, but SOME HORSE has to do it! Go To Page: 1 |
