Paper Twist AngelsI thought I would write this weeks article in a little different format to make it perhaps a little easier to understand. It's amazing how many lovely things one can come up with when they think really hard upon it. I can't say that all my idea's come easily in which to write about here, but I would like to say I hope that I have made these angel crafts as simple as possible to make, if not drop me a e-mail and I would be glad to offer any help or instructions to assist you. I know by now everyone is thinking Spring! I know I am, so in the next few articles I will try to enlist some spring type angels here. By the way for those of you who may not know what "teters" is it's a simulation of baby's breathe found in the floral section of your local craft stores. So with that in mind let's journey onto making our angel. Materials Needed: One three inch Styrofoam ball, spool of thin ribbon white, and blue, hot glue gun, scissors, paper twist {blue, peach, white} 1 package of each, six inch gold pipe cleaner, excelsior, dried teters, miniature blue roses. Getting started with this angel project I want you to take the peach paper twist along with the three inch styrofoam ball and untwist the paper twist in a four inch section. Place it around the ball and hor glue in place, try to wrap it as tightly around it as you can before hot gluing in place. Be careful not to put too much hot glue on the styrofoam ball as it will melt. Now with that part done, cut several seven inch sections of the blue paper twist. Start to untwist the sections of the paper twist, and begin to shape them around in a circle, curling up the ends. At the top of them take a piece of your ribbon and tie them together and cut away the excess ribbon. Untwist some more of the blue paper twist in four inch sections, about four of these should do. Now fold them over and run a piece of untwisted paper twist underneath. This will be the arms of the angel. Hot glue the folded over parts to the skirt of the angel and join the untwisted arms and place a dab of hot glue on it to secure it. Now take your white paper twist and cut a seven inch section, and untwist and shape into a bow. This will be your angel wings. Hot glue to the back of your angel head. Now take the excelsior and hot glue it onto her head in small sections until her hair is the desired fullness.
