Mop Angel DollsWhat can we think of that can be easy and fun and slightly on the creative side? Well this would be it I suppose. I mean I don't mean to go nix all the mops and make angels from them. Although wouldn't that be a better idea...than say mopping? You can buy these ingenious little things now in the craft stores all ready for you to spill your creative talent all over. It's amazing all the ordinary household things that are being used for making crafts now and I think in my next few articles I will explore those possibilities even further. But for now we will rest into this little charming one. But as always there are those pesky little details as "supplies" something us crafters would be naked without. You will need the "mop" from your local craft store. A spool of blue and white thin ribbon, a spool of blue paper twist, some red curly doll hair, a three inch wooden doll head, a piece of star garland about four inches will be plenty. Oh but let us not forget the hot glue gun, and a permanent black marker, and scissors. First hot glue the wooden doll head atop your mop, and let dry. Now for the face we are just going to dot some eyes on to keep this really simple, and if you like you may make her smile as well. Now as the mop will flow downward feel free to cut any part of it you wish to make it appear more even. Now I want you to start tying some of your white and blue thin ribbons on and just let them flow down, don't worry about making bows. Now at the top take some of the mop and twist it and braid it if you like to make her some arms. Now in sections begin hot gluing on her hair in small sections and this may take a little time but it will give it a fuller look that I am sure you will be happy with. That all done now take your paper twist and untwist a section of it long enough to make a bow, this will be for her wings. Now hot glue them to the back and then cut a piece of the paper twist and don't unravel it, hot glue this as a hanger for her. Now take the star garland and make a halo for her and clip off the excess and hot glue in place. You may add ribbons and bows wherever else you like. "Happy Crafting"
