Quick and Easy Angels

In this article I want to introduce you to some quick and easy angels, you can make and incorporate into your home. I have one particular project in mind to discuss in this article. When you think of angels, the first thoughts that come to mind are beauty and grace. I like to adapt that thought into the many angel crafts I make. You may see so many different versions in primitive and whimsical but I think angels symbolize beauty in any form of creation. The angel craft I want to discuss in this article is candle cup angels, and it's quick and easy and a lovely craft to make. You can do these in so many different ways but I am going to share with you the way I make them. You will need a few supplies for your candle cup angel. First you will need a 5/8 size candle cup, and a two inch wooded doll head, and curly doll hair. A hot glue gun, scissors, and acrylic paint in colors, metallic gold, flesh, black and white. You will also need a liner brush and a round brush. To get started base coat your candle cup in the metallic gold with your round brush. Set aside and allow to dry, then paint your wooden doll head with a generous coat of the flesh. I usually don't do a second coat on them but, you may want to if you think the color is too light. When these have air-dried turn your candle cup upside down and hot glue your wooden doll head on the bottom. Led stand for a few seconds until the glue hardens, then you will be ready to paint your face on your angel. Make two thin strokes with your liner brush in black for her eyebrows. Then take your liner brush and make two black dots for her eyes trying to make nice even circles. With your liner brush make a thin stroke and make your angel smile. Highlight her eyes with a dot of white with your liner brush Now you can ad her hair on. You may want to glue her hair on in separate strands or you may even choose to put her hair on in sections, either way hot glue her hair on until you have the desired fullness for your angel. You may also want to embellish your candle cup angel further with fairy wings or gold puffy wings. Or any way you may choose to do so. I hope you have enjoyed the introduction to quick and easy angels and hope to bring you more great craft ideas on easy angels next time...
