Predict the weather. Check out the pine cones outside. If they are open, it will not snow.
If they are closed, it will.
Sew a four foot long snake, or use fusible web (no sew method). Stuff the snake
with rice or beans. Decorate as desired. Place at the bottom of the door to keep out drafts.
Blow up a balloon. Measure around the outside of the balloon with a string.
Place the balloon outside. You might have to tie the balloon to something, so it does not blow
away.
Wait at least 4 hours and then
remeasure the balloon with the same string. What happened? Hint: cold air takes up less space.
Mark off three 1 foot square sections of deep snow. Walk all over one section. Pour water
over the
second, and leave the third untouched. Keep a journal, and record which section melts first,
second and last.
