Very many apologies if you've been eagerly awaiting this article. Computer problems I'm afraid! My boss has got the following slogan above his door: "To err is human. To mess things up takes a computer!" Very frustrating. Fingers crossed, from now on hopefully, it can only get better!!!

Last month I dealt with the Common Cold, and hope many of you have benefited from the advice given. This month I'm dealing with Influenza. Many people believe they've got the flu when it's nothing more than a very bad cold. My favourite description for someone with the flu: 'if you've been told you've won the lottery, or $100,000, you really really couldn't care less! With a very bad cold, however, you would at least feel some tremour of excitement; with the flu - none!

As outlined in previous articles, bear in mind the importance of matching your symptoms with the description of the below remedies - thus matching the two together as far as possible and ensuring the remedy you're taking is appropriate for your particular symptoms. Again, refer to previous articles regarding potency and dose.

Also in this section I shall be mentioning some Fever-like symptoms and their remedies.

Take ACONITUM NAPELLUS if:
you suffer from great physical and mental restlessness. You also experience great weakness. You hate being touched. You have a burning headache. Noise is unbearable to you, even music. Your cough is worse at night, and you feel cold and numb. Remember, this remedy works better when you take it at the first sign of having the flu.

Take BAPTISIA if:
you have great muscular soreness and all bodily secretions are offensive. Your eyeballs, brain, teeth and gums feel sore. Your arms and legs ache. You may experience pain at the root of your nose and the muscles of your jaw appear rigid. You can only take liquid, with there being a constant desire for water, and you have no appetite.

Take BELLADONNA if:
you have red, hot skin with a flushed face. Your eyes are glaring and your carotids, throbbing. You are in a state of mental excitement with delirium, restless sleep and convulsive movements. Your mouth and throat are dry, yet you have an aversion to water. You experience the sudden coming and going of neuralgic pains. You could also have Epileptic spasms that are followed by nausea and vomiting.

Take EUPATORIUM if:
you have a bursting headache and sore eyeballs; you have severe pain in your limbs, and are shivering.
