Recipe Swaping, Net Style

When I first started this column, there was hardly any information or other moms online making baby food, at least from what I could gather. Today, I am happy to report things have changed!

In just this week, I have come across two really good — and active — groups solely interested in making baby food and nutritious toddler food. I am really pleased to see this. There are all kinds of discussion groups and web pages on all other kinds of recipes and methods of cooking. It's high time making baby food has gotten some recognition.

The first group I came across resides on egroups.com, and is called FoodsForChildren. This is actually a pretty small group, but is starting to pick up a bit in size. I see recipes exchanged on this list almost on a daily basis.

The second group I found lives at the Yahoo! Clubs and is called Super Baby Food (after the book I love so much). With around 35 members, this club is a little more active.

For those wanting to make your own baby food and find more nutritious foods for your toddlers, I highly recommend joining a group or club like these two. It's a great way to find "fresh" recipes your child will enjoy — and to offer your own expertise to other parents.

Afterall, that's what it's all about, right?

See you on the groups (my name on both is "mymamasaid" in case we bump into each other)!

Kristine ;-)
