How to avoid home project mistakes

A finished home project is usually a piece of pride artwork for the home renovator to show family, friends...and neighbours.  In many cases, the finished project is a joy to chat and exchange tales with interested parties.

But more often, there are times when a project goes astray - the renovator cuts a wallboard to the wrong size or something that's not supposed to be cut, but got cut by mistake.

What then should the home renovator do?  Improvise and fix the problem without having to reach into the pocket book or buy more material.  There is no easy answer.  It all comes down to the type of finished project and its exposure to location.  Assuming that a project of dining room crown moulding was open to public scrutiny, then care and thought must be taken to install the moulding without the use of small member pieces to fill space.  The overall finished projects should reflect professional work.

To avoid home project mishaps, first make out a schedule of job scope.  That is a step by step list of who will be doing what, and as well as type of materials involved.  Revise list to see that all details are covered and job scope will meet building guidelines and how many man hours will necessary to complete project.  Go through list to see what needs to be done first and how it is going to be done

Sometimes, no matter how much planning goes into a project, mistakes do happen and unavoidable.  However, the more planning and insight that's put into a job, mistakes are reduced considerably.  But even if mistakes are made, the problem is noticed at the outset and fixed immediately.

Yet when mistakes are made, the question now arises - how do I fix it?  There is sometimes no simple answer.  Yet, improvising is one of the best options a home renovator has to fix the problem if replacing material is too expensive.  It means fixing mistakes in creative ways that the finished project looks professional without the thought of it being a mistake in the first place.  As always - a home renovator who has creative abilities will outsmart and fix project mistakes that creep up when least expected.

While working on a project, always double check horizontal and vertical measurements, grasp and "get the big picture" of project in mind prior to making any saw cuts with cutting tools.  Take time out and contemplate project, go over job sequence and visualize every step that's taken to complete job.
Plan the job and for every move that you make will eliminate risk of injury to oneself and others.  Also keep a tidy work area and avoid
