A web site that I have found to be very useful is the Today's Home Owner site, http://www.todayshomeowner.com/. The site has a lot of very handy information and a number of calculators.
One of the things that I liked most was that they did not limit the articles to the major projects that you often see listed. In this case they did include articles about major projects, like adding a second story to an existing house, but they also included simpler tasks. One of the key articles was how to add wainscoating to your walls. Another suggestion was adding a second phone line. There was also an article on how to make three fairly simple additions to your home, a roll up screen-door, a under-cabinet spice rack, and a wall safe. The articles were very clearly written. They gave you information on how to obtain the items for installation, including the reatil cost for the items. One thing that I liked the most is that they give you tips on the installation only like one who has done it can do. They also give you full color photos of the progression of the installation. I found this to be a very complete website with a lot of very useful home improvement ideas and suggestions. Go To Page: 1
