Home Advisor Web SiteIn their effort to maintain a high standing as one of the premier start-up pages for the internet, MSN has put together a very handy page for home-ownership in general, but also a great one for home improvement. http://homeadvisor.msn.com/ is the start page with some great links for those that are looking to buy or sell a home, and for those that may be interested in refinancing. But the link I am most interested in is the one for "Home Improvement." There are several, very useful tools available on this site. One is the calculator section. Here MSN has given us several calculators that we can use to figure out how much material you will need for a certain project and how much it is going to cost. For example, they ask you some questions about the walling space that you can going to be working with, and will then help you figure out how much a daywall project is going to cost you. Also, an area that some of us have asked about, is how to figure out if you should try to do a project yourself, or if it is better to hire a contractor. The link for "Do It Yourself" is actually an article to help you figure this out. It makes some very smart suggestions, and asks some very wise questions to help you determine if you are right for a do-it-yourself job. In all this is a very handy page that I recommend that you peruse in order to see if it will help you out before or during your next project.
