This is a page that has a lot of great information. The name says it all, http://doityourself.com/, offers great links to informative articles and streaming video.
The video was very helpful but the quality was not the greatest. I could see what it was that they were describing and the detail that they were trying to illustrate, but it was not very clear. The sound was very low and I had to turn my volume up to near maximum to be able to hear the audio. But the information in the video was very good toward the idea of taking steps to prevent crime before it can take place. While in this area I also looked at the link for a article on "multiple type of door security." This article included some very good information on types of hardware available for your door security. It also included information about how to install the hardware. The article included a lot of great pictures and illustrations. The illustrations were a bit small but the photos were clear and well-used as far as giving for a good photo at just the right time in order to keep you going in the right direction. One thing that I especially liked is that at the end of the article, if you decided that this was something that you wanted to do, but you didn't think you could do it, they give you a link to help find a contractor who can. If you think you want to do it, but you feel like you need some more help, they give you a link to their message boards. I found this to be a very useful option. They have several different boards that breakdown further into even more choices. In all this is a very useful site that should become a regular stopping point for you whenever you are beginning, or working on a home improvement project. Go To Page: 1
