One great link is to scroll down a bit and click on the down arrow for "How-to-guides." I know that you have seen a number of these that are completely useless, but these are different. Choose an area of interest and then look for a subject that addresses your need. It is here that you may notice something different. Look for listings that say "flash." These items will give you the ability to view a Flash animation that will show you exactly what they are talking about in the more detailed descriptions.
Another option you may want to look into is the tabs for "decorating" or "lawn and garden." The lawn and garden section includes a link for gardening in your region. The decorating tab gives you several options including how to gain an understanding of the use of color in your home.
All of these pages have a lot of information. Take some time to dig around. Who knows, you may even find the new project that you didn't know you were looking for.
