Everyone knows teachers love to receive a red shiny apple. Here are a few welcome-back apple gift baskets that will make her/his year.
An Apple For the Teacher Baskets #1 In a medium-sized wicker or wire basket place: Four nice, red, shiny cooking apples, a small jar of cinnamon sugar, a small bottle of REAL vanilla extract, a bag of brown sugar and a recipe card. On the card include the recipe for baked apples ( found below ). #2 In a medium wicker basket place: A coffee mug with "world's greatest teacher" or something like that on it, a nice, big, red, Delicious apple, a box of instant mulled cider mix, a few cinnamon sticks, and a good paper back book. #3 In a wicker organizer basket place: A nice, shiny red, apple, a package of colored star stickers. a box of red pens (found in office supply stores ),a package of pencils, a box of chalk and a box of paper clips. Along with all of these "apple" baskets, be sure to include a nice card - one that you and your child have signed. Any one of these baskets make a wonderfully different "Welcome Back" gift. And all are pretty inexpensive. Off to the Dorm Baskets Going off to college for the first time, can be a nerve-wracking experience. Here are a few Dorm gift basket ideas that will make that transition a little easier. #1 In a wicker laundry basket place: A portable, retractable, clothes line (found in the laundry department ), a box of laundry soap, plastic clothes pins, and a box of fabric softener sheets, some nice new towels and wash cloths. A few bars of their favorite soap, a bottle of both shampoo and conditioner and a package of combs. For a girl, some hair fasteners. For both boys and girls, shave cream and disposable razors. A new tooth brush, with a tube of tooth paste. And tucked in - to be found when they get to school - an "I miss you" note, and a pre-paid phone card. #2 In a wicker organizer basket place: A writing tablet, a box of envelopes, a book of stamps, a small address book, a few trendy pens, and a package of stickers that reflect your student's personality. A few self-addressed stamped envelopes to get them started. Last, a pre-paid phone card. #3 In a medium-sized basket or "milk" crate place: A photo album for new photos and a small photo album filled with family pictures. A few good binders, and some big notebooks. A new trendy keychain, a package of their favorite candy and cookies. A $20 gift certificate, from the department store near the school. Some fast-food coupon books, and a pre-paid phone card.
