It has been called the Napa Valley of the North East. The beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York, rivals those California Vineyards with wonder flavor.

The perfect weather and wide-open spaces just beg for vineyards, and, their there. So many, in fact, that you can make a vacation out of vineyard tours. A Relaxing and informative vacation is guaranteed.

My husband and I found them quite by surprise, some years ago. I had always gone to the Finger Lakes when I was a kid, and loved it. When we decided to go on a vacation, my favorite places were still there. However, on a whim, we went for a ride. We started noticing these wonderful vineyards, everywhere. We went on a tour at one of them. It was fantastic. Aside from seeing how the wine is made, we sat in on a wine tasting group. We were hooked.

We had never even thought of trying New York wines. Not anymore, we enjoy the bounty our state produces.

Let me tell you, if you love beautiful scenery and wine, you really want to go on a tour of the wineries. The ambiance is simple, yet a class act. The vineyard owners are friendly. The wines are delicious. The treatment you receive, well let me just say you'll feel very important.

I love New York. I know it sounds like a comercial. When I found the wineries, I just had to share my find.
