I know what you're thinking, "I'm no good with languages". That's OK, this one is easy. We all know our favorite flowers, but did you know they all mean something? That's right, most flowers and plants have special meanings.

This language has been carried down, carried on, changed some, but one thing remains the same. Expressing your feelings with flowers is timeless. Here is just a taste of The Language of Flowers.

Artemisia : Also known as; Silver king, Silver Queen, and Powis Castle. A beauty all on it's own, also stands for constancy.

Baby's breath: As delicate as it is charming. Lots of sprigs of Baby's Breath, mean Happiness. Something this flower simply exudes.

Bay Loral: As a fine specimen appears as it means, Glory, glorious.

Boxwood: As the hedges of a centuries old labyrinth, Boxwood stands for Endurance.

Chamomile: If you have ever had a nice calming cup of Chamomile tea, you should know that it stands for Patience.

Cockscomb: The beautiful frilly flowers of Cockscomb stand for Affection.

Everlastings: These forever flowers stand for Never ceasing Remembrance.

Globe Amaranth: Like this unusually beautiful flower, it stands for Preference.

Hysosop: It is a pity this beauty isn't given more often, as it stands for Loving Sacrifice.

Ivy: This wonderful and fanciful vine stands for The Love of God.

Lavender: This lucky flower has tow meanings, Luck and Devotion.

Lemon balm: Stands for comfort.

Lunaria: Also known as the money plant, and honesty. It means, Money in your pocket.

Marjoram: Means Joy.

Mint: This fragrant favorite means Eternal refreshment.

Parsley: Tasty and pretty, this plant stands for Festivity.

Pinks: Understandably stands for Pure Affection.

Roses: These beauties' meanings differ with the color. For example; Red means love, Yellow means Apologies.

Sage: The phrase "Sage advice" says it all. This tasty one means Wisdom.

Savory: Stands for Interest.

Spearmint: Like a hot cup of spearmint tea, it means Warm feelings.

Sunflower: Big and wonderful, this flower, when given, means their love is reciprocated.

Tarragon: Means lasting interest.

Thyme: This noble plant stands for Courage.

Yarrow: Place a bouquet of Yarrow under your pillow because, it means Dreams of a loved one.

Flowers can say a lot. Just receiving a small bouquet can brighten a gray day. When you know their meanings, or your suitor does, they speak volumes. So share this information with loved ones and friends. And, the next time you need to say something, say it with flowers.
