My Golden/Shepard Mix's Doggie Files

This week I'm handing my article over to my dog, Sydney. He has some good ideas, of his own, and there really good.

From Sydney's Files

Nick knack patty wack give your dog a bone. Here is my favorite bones recipe;

1 to 2 pounds bones from the store 2 Tbls. Garlic powder

Sprinkle bones with the garlic. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes ( depending on the size of the bones ) Let cool, place in zip lock bag, and put in the frig.

Syd says that these bones are the tops in flavor. Baking is much cleaner than boiling. Boiled bones can get slimey, and the marrow is mushy.

Tips from Sydney

If your sweet doggie suffers from dry itchy skin, here's Sydney's favorite treatment. Simply drizzle a tablespoon full of veggie oil over their dinner for a week. The itching stops, and their coat shines.

If itchy waxy ears are a problem, try this tip from Syd.

Make up a squirt bottle with; 1 part white vinegar to 2 parts iceprople alcohol. Shake before use.

To use squirt solution into your dog's ear. Quickly push a long piece of cotton into the ear canal. Let the dog shake his/her head a few times. Twist the cotton, to get the excess wax. Pull it out and discard. Remember, all dogs, like humans, need some wax in their ears. So don't get carried away. Apply once a month for good upkeep.

Syd frequents these great sites.

The name says it all. For really cool Pet Stuff check out Coolpetstuff

All we can say about The Poop is WOW. You really do get the "poop" on everything Canine.

Woofs is a terrific online canine news paper.

PETsMART Is Syd's favorite store. He enjoys shopping online and in their stores, where he is always welcome.

We hope you enjoyed Sydney's tips. He'll be popping in, from time to time, with more good doggy stuff.
