WHAT’S NEW For the Home and Garden?

Please read my Memorial Thank You letter. and visit the Memorial Day Event, as well.

What a wonderful world we live in. There are always mew and improved things coming to a store near you. I have done a little homework, and have come up with some new things for your Home and Garden.

For the Home

It seems like every day there is some new product, or trend, you just have to try. Or so says the TV, Newspapers, and magazines. We are inundated with new products every where we turn. Some sound too good to be true and some are. Yet we spend millions, as consumers, a year on new products to make your life easier or perfect. I have tried some of the newest products, and will give you the straight scoop on them.

In the Kitchen

Silpat baking sheet liners.
These are special baking sheet liners that are supposed to eliminate the use of sprays and greases. They are expensive, and are not readily available in every store. While they do work, as claimed, you might want to save your money. Unless you do a lot of baking.

I have found a more inexpensive product that can do the same thing. It is Teflon Bakewear Sheets . They come in 10"x15", and fit any medium baking sheet. They can be cut to size and also are pliable enough to link a baking pan. One sheet is good for hundreds of uses. They are washable, and at $1- $2 each are very affordable. I found them in the kitchen wear section of my local Wal*Mart. For my money, these are the better choice.

Around the House

Fabreeze fabric deodorizer
I have to admit, I ran out and bought this product as soon as t came out. My dog Sydney has a favorite spot to nap. On my favorite love seat. I hate to have company sit on it, because of the doggy smell. I followed the directions on the bottle and sprayed the seat. It said; once the fabric s dry, the smell's gone. They were right, although it did take some time for it to totally dry. So if you choose to try it allow some time for the fabric to dry.

The Swiffer
I have to say, when I first saw this thing I thought "What a gimmick". But in the interest of my, new stuff, hunt I bought one. I have a huge Kitchen floor and many hardwood floors as well. I hat having to shake out the dust mop, after every use. With this product you just toss the special cloth in the trash. Ahh, less work, that's for me.
