While this article is only going to focus on two members of the amazing "Angel" cast, I want to stress that I think all the cast members are amazing actors. However, folks like David Boreanaz (Angel) and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) have already gotten a lot of attention and I feel the need to focus on two other cast members.
When the character of Lindsey McDonald appeared on the screen as one of Angel's enemies, I was immediately struck by not only the character but by the actor that played him. I didn't immediately seek out information about the actor, but I did continue tuning in to see Lindsey struggle between his lust for power at Wolfram & Hart (his evil law firm) and his guilt over hurting innocent people. However, upon seeing Christian Kane appear alongside Tom Selleck in TNT's "Crossfire Trail" (by Louis L'Amour) a few months ago I realized that this actor has a lot going for him in the way of talent. And it's no wonder that he's now a semi-regular on "Angel" and the romantic lead in the film "Love Song" in 2000. Christian was born in Dallas, Texas, on June 27th, 1974. His father was in the oil business and so the family moved around quite a bit until they settled in Norman, Oklahoma (diehard "Angel" fans may remember that the license plate on the truck in the 'Epiphany' episode that recently aired was from Oklahoma). Christian went on to attend the University of Oklahoma, majoring in Art History. However, he soon dropped out of school and took his life savings ($300) and drove his truck to Los Angeles, in hopes of creating an acting career. His big break didn't take long - in 1997 he was cast as a male lead in a new TV Series, "Fame LA", which was a recycled version of the popular movie and 1980s series. About the only thing to come out of that show was that Christian was able to showcase his singing talents as well as acting. "Fame LA" never found it's niche and was canceled after the first season. But Christian was quick to find another role, this time on "Rescue 77", Aaron Spellings' drama about Los Angeles firefighters. Unfortunately this show was pulled from the lineup after only two months on the air. Instead of leaving Los Angeles in defeat, Christian was able to land a small role in the Matthew McConaghey film "EdTV". But the one important role for Christian so far has been his appearances on the WB's "Angel" (the very successful spin off of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer"), which is geared toward a more mature audience.
