One year under our belt - where do we go from here?

Last year when I began writing about our favorite stars from the Golden Era of Hollywood, I swore to myself that I would also concentrate some of my writing about the "new" Hollywood. Alas, a year has gone by and only two or three articles even came close to talking about what's going on in today's film world.

And so I am here to tell my readers on the eve of my second year as the Editor of this topic to tell you that for the next several months I will be devoting a great number of articles to some folks that you should be paying attention to - my list of "Ten to Watch." There are a number of performers, producers, directors and writers that we should be keeping a close eye on - they are gifted in ways they have yet to tap into. We've seen a glimpse of how far they'll go, and my goal is to help you keep informed of their work so that you can watch them grow as entertainers and gain the recognition they so deserve.

I'm also hoping to take this topic in a new and exciting direction - by providing you with actual interviews with these ten artists. While searching the web for information I've been disheartened to find that for some of these folks the information available for fans is rather slim - which is surprising, since they have huge fan bases. But I think that they are probably people that many of you will say, "Oh - I know that guy, he's from __________", or "Is that the same woman that wrote __________?"

And so with that promise, I hope to have the first artist profile and interview for you in the next few weeks. Together we'll learn more about some new faces in Hollywood and where you can find them online!

And as always, I appreciate your constant emails with requests for artists you want to see profiled here! Obviously since I only write two articles a month I can't fill your requests immediately, but I'm working on it! This next year, besides doing the "Ten to Watch" list, I plan to continue covering the Golden Era actors and actresses that we all love so much.
