Dreams ~ Working Interactive © T. Darlene Cheek

I thought it was time for something fun and unusual! I have always been very disappointed in dream interpretation books. Most of them either cover information or symbols, but hardly ever both. Also, most dream books are hard to understand, especially those that go into all the psychological mumbo-jumbo that requires a college degree in Jungian psychology. And, most of the dream books I have read are just plain boring!
Well, I just received the coolest book on dreams that I have ever found. This book, written by Dr. Stephanie Clement, covers just about everything, and Dreams - Working Interactive also comes with a computer CD program for journaling and dream interpretation that I have found very easy to use and understand. I started by studying the book, and I must say that I learned quite a bit about this subject. A person who wants to begin this study needs to first take this task seriously. Though this book can be helpful for those of us who want to know the meaning of an unusual dream here and there, this program is designed to help us begin a in-depth study through journaling and interpretation of our dreams. Our dreams are important to us and can help us heal in many ways if we understand what they are trying to tell us. Here are a few things you'll need to get started: The Book, of course
A notebook or journal to record your dreams in. I use a spiral bound notebook, but anything is fine, as long as you're not up in the middle of the night searching for a napkin and pen to write your dream on. If you have the right materials, this process will work much better!
A penDr. Clement covers some tips to recording your dream that I also found extremely helpful. I'll list them briefly here. Her book goes into much more detail: Just like in a journal, just write. It doesn't have to sound pretty! Don't try to analyze the dream at this time. Simply let the words flow to the paper.
Record the main characters of the dream and how they relate to you, i.e., how you know them or if they are a stranger, etc.
What were the main features of the dream?
Record the action, scene, and characters that were dominant in the dream.
Record any symbolism.
Did the dream hold any personal significance to you? Was there an overall theme?
Record the type of dream that it was (the author goes into details of the different types of dreams in this book).
