I have been a Reiki Master/Teacher of the Unlimited Reiki System since 1998. I have enjoyed practicing and teaching Reiki, and it is a very large part of my life. Even though I am a teacher, I have always told my students that we never stop learning! We learn something new every day in our experiences with Reiki, and we should strive to learn more by reading books, visiting websites, sharing with other practitioners and teachers, and taking continuing education classes whenever possible. So I was especially excited to be able to take a course on a new system of Reiki for me, actually, the traditional system of Reiki - Usui Shiki Ryoho.
Jodi Wetherup teaches the course Usui Shiki Ryoho Reiki Complete online at Suite University. I was concerned about taking a Reiki course online because I was afraid that I wouldn't have time to complete it or that I wouldn't completely understand a system that was different from what I was originally taught. Jodi's course, however, is so well written, easy to follow, and easy to understand that I was absorbed in the course material and thoroughly enjoyed it! I was also surprised at how much I learned! Like I said, I've been teaching Reiki myself, and I know there's always something new to learn, but Jodi's course offered a different perspective from my own, as well as offering information on non-traditional and complementary information as well as traditional methods of practicing Reiki. You can see a complete listing of the lessons in this course here: http://www.suite101.com/course.cfm/18482... As you can see, you'll learn everything from the history of Reiki right down to how to teach Reiki yourself! Jodi has information in this course on chakras, hand positions, crystal and candle usage, ethics, visualization, symbols, and much more. If you take the Interactive Course, you'll also receive all your attunements and a certificate. You'll also have the added bonus of having a wonderful teacher right at your fingertips to answer questions and chat Reiki! I can't say enough about how wonderful this course is, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in learning Reiki! If you already know how to use a non-traditional method of Reiki or are even a teacher yourself, I believe you would also enjoy taking this course to learn a new method or to enjoy a different perspective on your own practice. I learned new symbols through Jodi's course, and after reading Jodi's experience with working with these symbols, I believe I will not only add them to my practice, but also begin practicing the traditional method of Reiki the majority of the time in my own practice. I also like the fact that I can trace my lineage of this method straight back to Sensei Usui. That gives me such a great feeling! Go To Page: 1 2
