Divination Methods: More than fortune telling (Part 2, Astrology)

When someone sits down to go over their astrology chart with me, I've learned that most everyone has concerns about their future health. One of the most interesting quotes I've read regarding this comes from Hippocrates himself:

"A physician without a knowledge of astrology has no right to call himself a physician."

No doubt many physicians today would disagree with that statement, but Hippocrates is one of the fathers of medicine, so I'm not going to argue with him! Up until the 18th century, the study of astrology and health were a part of every doctor's training, and the astrology chart was done for every new patient who came for treatment.

Each astrological sign has its own association with the human body, and each planet is associated with glands of the body. We also have particulart diet needs related to our individual signs, and a good astrology book will help you plan what types of foods you need to eat in order to stay healthy.

In this article, we are going to briefly cover some of the important facts for each sign. If you have questions, please be sure to ask!

Aries

The parts of the body ruled by Aries are the head and face. The glands that are ruled by Aries are the adrenals. Aries people will often by subject to headaches, migraines, head congestion, and sinus conditions, as well as injuries to the head and face. They may also have eye and teeth problems.

Aries people need a balanced diet and need a constant replenishment of the cell salt potasium phosphate to maintain their energy level and avoid depression. Beneficial foods for them are tomatoes, beans (red kidney, navy, lima), brown rice, lentils, walnuts, olives, onions, lettuce, cauliflower, cucumber, spinach, broccoli, brussel sprouts, veal, swordfish, flounder, figs, bananas, dried uncooked apricots, and pumpkin. They also need milk for their teeth and bones.

Aries should avoid salt and liquor and should eat their meals in complete relaxation, as well as drink lots of water and get plenty of rest and relaxation.

Taurus

The parts of the body ruled by Taurus are the throat and neck, including the vocal cords, palate, and tonsils. Taureans are susceptible to colds, coughs, sore throats, laryngitis, swollen glands, stiff necks, and neck injuries. The thyroid gland is ruled by Taurus, so they are also susceptible to weight problems.

Taureans need a diet low in starch, fat, and sugar. They should also avoid fatty foods. Taureans definitely need exercise! Taurus people also suffer from retaining water, so their cell salt is sulphate of sodium. Their diet should include asparagus, beets, spinach, horseradish, Swiss chard, cauliflower, cucumber, onions, pumpkins, cranberries, and raw nuts. They can also benefit from foods containing natural iodine, such as fish and seafood. Taureans need plenty of water to keep their system flushed.
