My daughter Trisha and I went grocery shopping this afternoon. She was so proud of her self when she came out of the store the second time. The cashier had over charged her for some of the items that she had purchased. Trish had watched her ring it up and as we were leaving the store she was checking prices on her reciept and exclaimed, "she overcharged me." She went back in to get her money while I was putting my groceries in the car. When she came out she was beaming she had gotten ten dollars back for what they had overcharged her. Then she said something that made my ego bloom. "See Mom, I did learn something from you!"
There was joy in my heart when I heard that. She and I went to my company dinner last night and even though it was a work celebration. I believe for she and I it was a celebration of her being healthy. In that same article I wrote about my Grandfather and that same day after I wrote the article he passed away. That was March 9th, ten days later my niece gave birth to my great-niece Alexis on March 19th. It has always amazed me how almost every time we loose a member of our family there is usually a birth some where close to that. Over the last eight months that I have written for the Suite, I have written about all kinds of holidays both international and national. This has been a learning experience for me too. I would like to invite my readers to e-mail me and tell me if there is a special holiday that you would like for me to write about. Also, if you have some great ideas I would like to hear about them too. Maybe, I can add them to one of my stories. I will be sure and say that you are the one that contributed the idea.
