May we hope there is never another war such as WWII. So many people died because one man, Hitler, wanted to be all powerful.

It's been sixty years today since the Germans surrendered unconditionally to the Allies. We were truly blessed that veterans of both countries felt it to be their responsibility to assure that future generations were able to live their lives in freedom.

Uncle Bert passed away in 1983, but I will never forget the stories he told of the Liberation of Holland and VE Day.
