World War II Re-enactment

Robert E. Lee is quoted as saying "It is good war is so terrible, lest we grow too fond of it." Another quote says something similar "War is Hell". We, reenactors, seek to educate not only ourselves, but those around us. We want to teach the next generation not only the facts and figures of wars, but that war is terrible, that it should be avoided at all costs. Many reenactors are veterans from different wars and conflicts such as Desert Storm and Vietnam. Some of the early World War 2 reenactors were veterans of that very same war. They know from experience how bad war is, and all of us, veteran and non-veteran alike, seek to make it so that no one will ever grow fond of war and in so doing we do our part to avoid another war - a war like World War 2.
