Hip-Hop: Hottest Domain Name Commodity: www.youreaditherefirst.c

In the increasingly aggressive goldrush for domain names on the Internet, hip-hop and rap have become the latest vics (victims) of a land grab for status and the phattest URL. Some sites deserve the name hip-hop in their URL; some don't -- but since I'm not about negativity I'm not gonna diss the poseurs who think they can use the name without payin dues. Rather, I'd like to point you to a few sites that deserve to have hip-hop and rap in their domain name.

HipHopSite.com is definitely one of the winners. Check them out at http://www.hiphopsite.com and if you're a true head you won't be dissappointed. The pages on this site are well laid out and update in timely fashion to reflect the latest hip-hop news; such as Fat Lip leaving the Pharcyde and Dr. Dre throwing a tantrum at a radio interview on WCGI Chicago. Most impressive is their "New Joints" section with RealAudio Files of all of the dopest new hip-hop songs. Yo, these kids ain't playin -- they take their URL seriously.

Rap.Org also deserves a little respect. Check out http://www.rap.org/ for the latest in pictures, multimedia, and music reviews. I admit to being a little biased; since they are one of the official mirror sites for my hip-hop lyrics archive, but they got their own thang in full effect as well. I don't think you'll be in any way disappointed.
