"Rock the bells!"
--> LL Cool J, 1986
"I'm something like a phenomenon" --> LL Cool J, 1997 What's happened? Why does LL Cool J suddenly think that he's the newest incarnation of Puff Daddy? Pouring Cristal, wearing large amounts of expensive jewelry, and rapping in a low monotone style of voice. Somebody should tell Mr. James Todd Smith it's not him. What we really want is the LL Cool J who acts like "don't call it a comeback, I've been here for years" when he grabs the microphone. Hip-Hop already has a Puff Daddy, and a Puff Daddy clone to boot - the incomporably wack Mase. Do we now expect Mr. Smith to rap "nigga please, I'm the macaroni with the cheese"? Say it ain't so LL. Persistant rumors are floating around that Canibus actually dissed LL on "4, 3, 2, 1" on the new LL album but that his line was cut out. LL should have known better than to put him on the track if that was the case -- do you think 1990's MCs are going to have respect for you if you go out with a wack assed new style? LL, you're not In the House -- you're in the Doghouse. Go back to your Hip-Hop ABC's and study up for a while. Peace, Flash Go To Page: 1
