It's come to my attention than an article I wrote for 181.4 magazine "http://www.181-4.com" has caused some ill vibes with the Hiero.Com website ("http://www.hieroglyphics.com"). I authored this article over a month ago, and before I had the chance to see what I wrote that had caused the trouble, the editor in charge had already edited out whatever the Hiero site people found offending. Needless to say this makes it hard for me to respond to the accusations that I'm trying to start shit on purpose, but as I am being singled out as the target of this controversy I feel it's my purpose to set it to rights.
My issue with Hiero.Com is that the site's author made certain promises online he had no intention of keeping, and used excuses to back up his reasons for not fulfilling them. He said that people who contributed accurate lyrics from Hiero artists would have them included on the site. Since nobody has offered me corrections for the 30+ Hiero lyrics I snet him, I can only assume they are accurate. As a Hiero fan of the highest caliber I went to no small length to assure these would be as accurate as possible. Since September 1, 1996 though the lyrics section of the site has not been updated ONCE; while every web site from Bernie's Lyrics Page to Ty's Little Black Rap Book has made copies of the transcriptions I wrote. There's nothing wrong with that, since ultimately Hiero gets the credit they deserve for their dope scripts; but it's shocking and sad that Stinke would excuse their non-inclusion with the various reasons listed below: * my monitor blew up * I don't have time for your lyrics Go To Page: 1 2
