If I'm not mistaken..
Among other songs, the soundtrack for the Wesley Snipes movie _Blade_
includes the GangStarr/M.O.P. duet "Half and Half". I've heard snips
and it sounds fat as fuckin hell. I think I saw a bunch of other rap
artists listed too on the liner notes... YET...
I watched the commercial for _Blade_ and at the end they say "soundtrack
featuring" and they only list three artists: some New World or New Order
group, one called Junkie XL or some shit, and some other nobody. NONE
of the rap artists are listed in the TV commercial. WHY? If you're
gonna fill up a soundtrack with fatass hip-hop artists to rival all time
greats like _Juice_ and _Boyz N the Hood_ then why not publicize it?
I really want to know why the only three artists listed on the
soundtrack in the commercial are all not rappers. I really want
to know if it has anything to do with the fact that I saw reports
saying _Blade_ was #1 in theaters last week.
Does this mean they're afraid that listing rappers on the soundtrack
in the commercial makes the movie "ghetto" or "black"?
I'd hate to think a studio would stoop this low but shit don't add up.
Too many fat artists got signed to the line to not get their primetime.
