My response to selected email...
hi! Best Website Dedicated to the Art of B-boying/Breakdancing = breakdance.com -Best Website Dedicated to the Art of B-boying - Awarded to the website that most creatively and thoroughly represents the art of B-Boying.... plus did you somewhere find any information about bboying on that site? any history, knowledge or research? did you notice somewhere on that site that it is presenting bboying as an artform and not as a fad? i don't think so. i don't know if you have already heard about that but this magazine/website
peace Big ups Remy! Thanks for hittin' me about my choices for the online hip hop awards! Yup, I'm sure about breakdance.com as my choice for Best Website Dedicated to the Art of B-boying/Breakdancing. I disagree with your statement calling it "a website that already shows with its name that it's a media/hype-type of site that has no idea about bboying?". If that were true, the same could be said about bboy.com. The choice of name is simply good business; anyone looking for breakdancing online can find it easily. The same is true for bboy.com As for "stealing information", I don't believe anyone owns information, only the display of information. This is not to say that I believe anyone stole anything; I don't feel qualified to make such an assessment. The award is given to the website that most creatively and thoroughly represents the art of B-Boying, and I believe breakdance.com does just that. Breakdance.com is a legitimate b-boy site, helping over 2000 b-boys and girls worldwide connect and network by offering free event listings and free member pages, in addition to descriptions of moves, videos, and photos. As for content, it just depends on what you're looking for. Some people want history and research, others want events, videos, moves and descriptions and others want all of that, plus the ability to network and connect with like-minded individuals. Goes to personal taste - Do you want that coffee black, or with cream and sugar?. There were numerous notable b-boy sites, including www.bboy.com and props go out to those webmasters for a job well done. Go To Page: 1 2
