Best Magazine/E-zine Website = Rebirth Magazine
» Awarded to the Hip-Hop website with the most comprehensive, compelling and cutting-edge editorial content.

I gave the nod to Rebirth Magazine, a publication that's been consistent in it's delivery of thought provoking articles .The zine focuses on a couple of different opinionated issues that surround hip hop music and culture. In addition, this site features news, reviews, videos, profiles, interviews, breakdown, digital, radio, and party info, all in an eye-catching, easy to navigate layout. Be sure to read Respiration #3: "Hatin' Dissected" by G(riot).

Best New Website = Rapstation.com
» Awarded to a new Hip-Hop website, launched between February 1999 and January 2000, with the most innovative content and design.

By now you've probably heard the hype about Rapstation. Believe it! The site, described by Chuck D., the leader of Public Enemy, as "the ESPN of rap music and hip-hop,'' features articles, artist interviews, audio, video, and forums. In addition to providing celebrity interviews, rap radio, and a forum for Chuck D. to espouse his political views, Rapstation promotes aspiring artists and gives you access to digital crack: MP3s.

Best Website Dedicated to the Art of Graffiti = Art Crimes

» Awarded to the website that most creatively and thoroughly represents the art of Graffiti/Tagging/Bombing.

Art Crimes is a gallery of graffiti art from cities around the world. The site showcases more than 3000 images from 205 cities, 43 countries and 6 continents. Art Crimes was the first graffiti site on the net, and their main goals are to provide cultural information and resources and to spread the truth graffiti, ("writing" is being done by artists who call themselves "writers", not by gangs). Definately the most thorough graffiti site.

Best Website Dedicated to the Art of Emceeing = Freestyling
» Awarded to the website that most creatively and thoroughly represents the art of Emceeing/Rapping/Rhyming

Bringin Hardcore Freestylin to the Internet! One of the flyest freestyle sites I've ever come across, with a katillion (just made that word up) freestyle resources: everything from how to make Real Audio freestyles and a Q&A section, to message and freestyle boards. What really makes this site phat is the featured battle and poll for the illest battle track.

Best Website Dedicated to the Art of Turntablism/Djing = Svenska DJ Battle
» Awarded to the website that most creatively and thoroughly represents the art of Turntablism/Djing.

This site proves what I've been saying all along, hip hop is universal! This site would be one of my top 5, if only i knew what the f*ck they were talking about...any translators out there? Be prepared to be there a while perusing their extensive (and I do mean extensive) scratch collection.
