As always, where water and steep drop-offss are involved, I recommend keeping very close watch on small, or even not so small, children. I vaguely remember a news report from not so many months ago involving a child and a fatal accident at one of the falls. Be aware that this is a very real danger!
I don't have much for suggestions as to other nearby activities. There isn't much else near the park but trees and farmland. Traditionally, I grab a sandwich at the Subway just east of where Hwy 22 crosses I-5 and eat it before proceeding on to the park. I have been to Silver Falls five times now, and have fond memories of every trip. It is my hope that this article will prompt a few readers to explore this wonderful place and enjoy it as much as I have. Happy hiking. Go To Page: 1 2
