Whatever type of program you choose, study abroad can be a valuable part of your college education. It is the best opportunity you will ever have to be immersed in a culture not your own - some people even fall in love with the country they study in and move there for a time after graduation. Some schools are even beginning to require students to participate in study-abroad programs to ensure that they function well as global citizens.
