Put the FUN in Fungus! - Page 2

As some of you know, I was away from my garden for most of June and missed the usual preventive application time for some of my plants. I lost a wide swath of Bert Anderson pulmonaria to some kind of rot; they looked like they'd been hit with Round-Up, and it was too late for the copper suphate, so I used my other favorite treatment, Orthene's Fungenex (most often recommended for roses.) It works better on controlling foliar fungus--the stuff you can already see on the leaves. The roots of the lungworts are apparently still healthy; after a good soaking of Fungenex they are waking up again. I'll give them ten days or so to absorb the chemicals and then use the copper suphate treatment.

I'll do my best to answer some of the mildew and mushroom questions you may have next week. My exponentionally growing list of fungi sites will be up and available for you then as well.

In the meantime, keep your feet dry!
