I use my garden for growing things, but also turn to it for an outlet for stress and comfort. This is where I keep finding myself this week. When I get full of information from the television and internet, I go outside and work in the garden and the yard. Many of us feel helpless at this time. We want to help in some way in this time of crisis, but it often seems there is nothing we can do except stand watch as events unfold.
I know I can take only so much grief and sorrow, and I must find an outlet. Working up a sweat helps me get out the anger. The sight of a butterfly or the smell of a special herb gets my focus back and helps me sort out my thoughts. This is my way to deal with the events resulting from the terrorist attacks on the United States. There MUST be an outlet for feelings, or they will stay inside and stagnate. We must find our way out of this maze of incoming horror. It is a maze-- how will you find your way out? Choose an outlet for feeling good at this time, no matter how small or trivial it may be. This is the way out, to remember something good, and at the same time accepting the reality of what has happened. Goodness will prevail. Honesty and virtue will prevail. Lean on somebody. Talk to somebody. Reach out and find your way out. Go To Page: 1
