Save this first tip for the end of the growing season: At Garden Gate Magazine, there is a great tip for lemongrass growers: how to overwinter your lemongrass. It's pretty tough to try to overwinter the whole plant,especially when it practically takes a forklift to get it out of the ground!

Speaking of Garden Gate, here is another page on their site where plans for garden structures AND garden designs can be purchased and downloaded. There are also four freebies to download.

There are always interesting topics at Garden Web's Garden Forum. Give or get advice about anything herbal, or find a new friend and trade plants or seeds.

Weekend Gardener has a section on starting herbs from seed. Each type of herb has a page on the best way to start its' seed. If you don't see an herb listed, you can submit a request for it to be added to their site.

'An Interview With Culinary Herbalist Karin Winans' is featured in "Front Range Living", a Colorado-based weekly magazine. Karin talks about cinnamon basil and other herbs.

One of the great paper magazines, Organic Gardening also has a website. This week, they have a great article on companion planting, which features many herbs combined with vegetables.

Another excellent Organic Gardening feature is the Organic Gardening Watchdog. This current article describes organic apple farming versus using pesticides, recent news regarding the environment, pesticides, and genetically modified food.

'Herbs All Summer Long' by Southern Living Magazine Online has tips on container herb gardening and several delicious sounding recipes.

Make a country-style garden stake from some copper sheeting. Instructions are at the Better Homes and Gardens website.

The DIY website gives instructions on how to plant herbs in a strawberry pot.
