Rasland Farm operates a farm and gift shop in eastern North Carolina.

Rasland has a good selection of herbs, including 11 basils, and also worth mentioning is their good selection of medicinal herbal extracts. They offer patchouli for $3.75 per plant, and African blue basil for $3.50.

This no-frills website has a good shopping cart system for easy ordering. Minimum order is $25.00 and plants are shipped April 15 through June 15.

Blossom Farm

Blossom Farm is located in northeast Ohio, is a small family farm which grows and sells winter hardy perennials and herb plants, also herbal gifts. Click on "Herb Plants" to see their selection, either sorted by botanical name or in categories. They state they have almost 90 varieties of herbs. One convenient feature is the search by common name box in case the botanical name is not known.

Their 'monster basil', the largest leaf basil, is $3.50. Many good choices of plants here. One of their collections is the "Cottage Garden Flower Craft Collection" (12-pack), good for fresh flower cutting or drying, and making herbal wreaths, $38.50 for 12 plants. The stevia plant goes for $4.50.

The site offers a good shopping cart system which takes credit cards and PayPal also. Shipping is from April through November 1. Minimum order is $10.

Richters Herbs

Richters delivers live herbs worldwide! They are located in Ontario, Canada. Sign up for their detailed newsletter and request a catalogue. Their online catalogue is also good, and many items are offered in not only plant but seed form, and sometimes plug trays.

They have an extensive herb list, including a patchouli plant for only $2.80. An unusual herb found was Vietnamese balm, 'Elsholtzia ciliata', a culinary herb with a lemon scent, for $2.80 per plant. They also offer two live herb collections: "Live Herb Garden", $28.00, and "Shady Refuge Shade Herb Garden" for $22.40. The catalogue offers many pictures and descriptions.

The online shopping cart is good, and offers the shopper a currency selection at the beginning. They ship from April to June for the main season, but also state they can ship anytime up until November 15. Minimum order is 6 plants or two plug trays.
