Garden Pictures to Inspire


Garden pictures tell the story of gardening like words could never do. By viewing a picture, one can take from it one or two ideas for their own gardens. Ideas for structures, color combinations, plant groupings and garden designs are several ideas that can be gleaned from a picture. People love to show off their gardens! Pictures will be mostly from cottage garden inspired designs, that is, gardens which combine herbs, vegetables and flowers together in a natural way, and become gardens of memories.

The first group of pictures is from Carolyn Moore Wells' Home Page -"Cottage Garden" Project. These are recent pictures taken June 20, 2000, and they are most inspiring. Photos show structures, height, color and textures groupings.

"Graham's Paradise Garden" is the next garden. In it is a small secluded pathway leading to a single chair where someone could really relax and think about everything or nothing:

The University of Newfoundland's cottage garden has a path with a beautiful, very colorful border, and features an herb wall:
