March on Washington Planned!

The National Hepatitis C Coalition, Inc is planning a "Wake Up Washington Rally 2000" for June 1-4, 2000. Hepatitis C patients, families and supporters from all over the United States will make their voices heard.

The event begins with a Meet and Greet at the Travelodge in Arlington Virginia on June 1st. Then on June 2nd, the group will meet with congressional representatives to discuss the issue.

On Saturday, June 3, 2000 - they will gather in the "Ellipse" area, just south of the White House for the annual outdoor awareness rally where there will be featured speakers, live entertainment and an afternoon of "GETTING THE WORD OUT" about hepatitis. Their numbers grow each year, but they are putting the word out that they need THOUSANDS of patients and families to attend. The main goal is to gain awareness and funding for HCV research, treatment and support from the lawmakers.
