Read the TV guide with your child and find movies and shows that have a book about them. For example 'Bananas in Pyjamas' or 'Around the Twist.' 14. Routinely fit reading in at a special time - perhaps before your child's bedtime. 15. Read a variety of texts with your child. Texts such as newspapers and magazines are useful and relevant. 16. Write a shopping list with your child and then do the shopping. Your child can read the labels and packages when selecting goods.
